The artist had the idea to create Poet’s Pause, which combines sculpture, place making, and poetry. Lost in Sound is one of two sculptures here in Alta Lake Park that make up Poet’s Pause. The steel chimes inspire interaction, and the sounds resonate with the lake.
An annual poetry competition invites submission of poems inspired by this place and winning selections are displayed. The theme for Lost in Sound is listening. Ring the chimes to experience the lake in a different way.
