The Olympic Truce is an ancient tradition. In modern times this has taken form as a wall—a symbol of the athletes’ commitment to peace. For the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, walls with this design were also created for Vancouver and the United Nations in New York City. The Truce Wall features Hunt’s design for the Olympic and Paralympic medals (Art ID #127), as well as the names of every athlete that competed and committed to the Games movement.
