The master planning process was initiated by the RMOW on recommendation of the Mayor's Task Force on Resident Housing in order to define a development program and approach to undertake further development of the municipally-owned lands in the Cheakamus Crossing Neighbourhood for the primary purpose of providing additional employee-restricted housing in Whistler.
