Secure bicycle parking

The Whistler Transportation Action Plan identified a need for free and secure bicycle parking. These bicycle parking pilot programs are funded through parking revenue from Day Lots 1 to 5 courtesy of the Resort Municipality of Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb through the Community Transportation Initiative Fund.

Bike racks in Whistler

There are bike racks located at all Whistler parks and around the Village. There are covered bike racks located in the underground lot at Whistler public library in Whistler Village year round.

The facility will reopen for the season as of Wednesday, March 8, 2023! We currently have 40 keys for the facility.

Underground bike storage application
An application form must be submitted prior to using the Whistler Library underground bike storage. A $25 refundable deposit is required before a key will be issued.

Complete the Apply to use the Secure Bike parking in the Library Underground lot in 2023.
Email the completed form to engineers@whistler.ca for review.

You will then receive an email with instructions to pick up your access key to the Library underground bike parking.

Application forms are also available at the Customer Service desk at Municipal Hall.

Bike Valet - Attended, secure bike and gear parking

The dates and locations for 2023 will be announced in mid-April.

The Whistler Bike Valet service in 2022 was available from 11am-6pm at Olympic Plaza, Lost Lake Park and Rainbow Park again this summer.

Services began June 25, 2022 and ran on the following dates (plus a few extended hours at Whistler Olympic Plaza during certain events):

June 25, 26;
July 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31;
August 1, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28;
September 2, 3, 4, 5.

Park your bike at the free and secure on-demand Bike Valet located in Whistler Olympic Plaza, Rainbow Park, and Lost Lake Park, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.
