Weekend and After-hour Media Requests
For after-hour media requests, email media@whistler.ca. Only media requests of an urgent and operational nature will be responded to after hours. All other requests will be actioned the next business day. Please note that all interview requests for the mayor are managed by the RMOW Communications Department and the Mayor does not respond directly to interview requests.

Request to Light a Landmark and Proclamation Requests

Requests to proclaim a specific day or to light up the Fitzsimmons Bridge to support a cause are considered by Council at a Regular Council Meeting. See our Writing to Council page for more information on how to submit a request.

Several programs and services have the option for online payment or registration.

Claims against the RMOW

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) does not attend to or repair damages on private property. For property damage, please contact your insurance provider who may be able to assist you with your damage.

If you feel that the RMOW is responsible for your loss or damages, you may submit a claim to the RMOW.

You are required to provide written notice to the RMOW within two (2) months of the date of the loss or damage as required under Section 736 of the Local Government Act. Please note: Other limitation periods may apply and you may wish to consult with legal counsel. The information contained on this page does not take the place of legal advice.

Village Host Kiosks
The RMOW’s Village Host volunteers provide year-round assistance to visitors requiring guidance and direction.

Visitor Information Centre
Operated by Tourism Whistler, staff at the Visitor Information Centre can provide information on what’s happening around town and assist with accommodation, bus schedules, directions, and activity information.

Whistler Conference Centre
The Whistler Conference Centre is located in the heart of Whistler Village and features over 40,000 square feet of versatile meeting space and the capacity to host conferences and events of all sizes. The facility is owned by the RMOW and operated by Tourism Whistler.
