On shared unceded L̓il̓wat7úl and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh territory

The Conservation Officer Service (COS) has received a report of a dog walker who was bluff-charged by a sow in the company of cubs. It happened near Lakeside Park on Saturday, May 17 at 5 p.m. The dog was unleashed. 

The same bears were also reported accessing a BBQ grease trap along Alta Lake Road. 

  • Please remember to keep dogs on leash. 
  • Ensure all BBQs are cleaned properly after use or locked away.
