
The Conservation Officer Service (COS) has received a report of a black bear that accessed food from a picnic table near the splash pad at Meadow Park on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
- Avoid bringing food or having picnics at Meadow Park over the next few days.
 - Please do not leave food or drinks unattended at any time. Store your food in a locked vehicle or bearproof bin, and have at least one person watching over it before you leave the picnic area.
 - If a garbage can is full, please let us know at 604-935-8280 or bylawservices@whistler.ca and pack your garbage out with you.
 
Please report wildlife-human interactions where public safety may be at risk to the RAPP Line: 1-877-952-7277. Conservation Officers will continue to monitor the situation.vIt is our responsibility as a community to keep these bears wild and safe, so let’s play our part to manage our wildlife attractants.
