Whistler Presents: New Year’s Eve Celebration

For celebration of the family-friendly sort, take in the evening’s roster of festivities throughout Whistler Village. You could keep it cozy, and head to one of two indoor parties (one of which includes a Youth Dance), a New Year's Eve kid’s countdown or opt instead to take it outside for skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza, views of the Fire and Ice show and a Village Square dance celebration that’s topped off with a dazzling fireworks display at midnight.

  • Tickets are valid for 6 hours of endless entertainment. Music, arts, crafts, entertainment, food, ice skating, dancing, Fire and Ice Show, fireworks and more!
  • Venues include Whistler Conference Centre, Millennium Place, Whistler Olympic Plaza and Village Square.

Skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza

Enjoy an enchanted evening of lights and music as you skate amongst the whimsical skating fairies at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

  • Open 6 p.m. to midnight (*Skate shop closes at 11 p.m.)

Millennium Place

Giant bubble wrap stomp and balloon drop: need we say more? Millennium Place turns into three levels of warm and toasty fun on New Year’s Eve. You’ll find NYE crafts, games, photo backdrop, music, a huge community mural, cartoons, some tasty treats and live art on each level.

Whistler Conference Centre

There will be bouncy castles for the little ones, family comedy and magicians, games, NYE crafts and a cozy lounge area to warm up and relax.

Youth Dance at the Whistler Conference Centre

The Much Music Dance Party comes to town with wicked sound, killer lighting and the hottest new and old school videos.

"A White Night" in Village Square

Tickets are required for the Village Square Dance Celebration. Come join in on the fun at this non-alcoholic, all ages dance celebration.

Fire and Ice Show

Who can resist fireworks and fire spinners – especially when snowflakes fill the air? Whistler's best skiers and riders, including Whistler Blackcomb Snow School's finest, hit a big air jump through a blazing ring of fire.

  • Time: 7:30 p.m.

Fireworks

You’ll witness a dazzling display of lights and sounds to ring in 2013. Fireworks can be viewed from Whistler Olympic Plaza and Village Square but best viewed from Skier’s Plaza

Whistler Transit

Leave the car at home and take advantage of the free and extended Whistler Transit Service on New Year’s Eve.
