Paving work at McKeevers Place in Alpine neighbourhood: from Alpine Way intersection to McKeevers Place cul-de-sac

We are paving at McKeevers Place in the Alpine neighbourhood from Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 3, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Intersection at Alpine Way and McKeevers Place: There will be minor traffic delays, congestion and traffic control for turning in and out at McKeevers Place.
  • McKeevers Place: There will be single-lane alternating traffic, which may result in minor traffic delays, congestion, and increased noise. Construction equipment will be present.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and ensure passage through the work zone.

Paving work at Lorimer Road in the Whistler Cay neighbourhood: from Piccolo Drive to Highway 99 and from Crabapple Drive to Balsam Way

We are paving at Lorimer Road in the Whistler Cay neighbourhood from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Intersection of Lorimer Road with Highway 99, Crabapple Drive, Balsam Way, Piccolo Drive, St Andrews Way, and Nesters Road: There will be minor traffic delays, congestion and traffic control for turning in and out at Lorimer Road.

Lorimer Road: There will be single-lane alternating traffic, which may result in minor traffic delays, congestion, and increased noise. Construction equipment will be present.

Traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and ensure passage through the work zone.

Overview

The goal of this project is to rehabilitate and improve the pavement of various roads throughout the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Below is a list of 17 segments of the road that will be rehabilitated.

Whistler Village

  • Segment 1.0: Blackcomb Way – Sundial Place to Village Gate Blvd: completed
  • Segment 2.0: Glacier Lane – Blackcomb Gate to Glacier Drive

Alpine Meadows

  • Segment 3.0: Alpine Way – McKeevers Pl to Hwy #99
  • Segments 4.0 & 5.0: Drifter Way – Matterhorn Drive to Valley DriveSegments
  • Segments 4.0 & 5.0: Drifter Way – Matterhorn Drive to Valley Drive
  • Segments 6.0 & 7.0: Mountainview Drive – Valley Drive to Parkwood Drive
  • Segment 8: Matterhorn Drive – Forest Ridge Drive to Rainbow Drive North (SB)

Nordic Estates

  • Segment 9.0: Eva Lake Road – Whistler Road to Garibaldi Way (SB)

Emerald Estates

  • Segments 10.0 & 11.0: Emerald Drive – Emerald Drive to Hwy 99 (EB AND WB)

Whistler Cay

  • Segment 12.0: Lorimer Road – Piccolo Road to St Andrews Way (SB)
  • Segment 13.0: Lorimer Road – St Andrews Way to Hwy 99 (NB)
  • Segment 14.0: Lorimer Road – Crabapple Drive to Balsam Way

Blueberry

  • Segment 15.0: Blueberry Drive – Heron Place to Beaver Lane (SB)
  • Segment 16.0: Blueberry Drive – St Moritz Cr to Ptarmigan Place

Function Junction

  • Segment 17.0: Alpha Lake Road – Miller Creek Road Crosswalk to 1208 Alpha Lake Road

Construction impacts

Vehicles may experience minor delays and congestion during construction. Notice will be provided to affected residents, businesses, schools, and services.

Construction activities will generate equipment noise an increase the number of construction vehicles in the work area. Minor delays and single-lane alternating traffic may occur throughout the project.

Traffic control personnel will ensure safety and smooth traffic flow. We kindly ask everyone to follow their instructions and adhere to all construction signs.
