PARKS AND TRAILS

Western Toads

You may see tadpoles at Lost Lake Beach, please look and don’t touch. Naturally occurring salts and oils on human hands can be harmful to tadpoles. Avoid entering wetland zones — these are extremely sensitive habitats. Anyone wishing to volunteer with the Western Toad migration can reach out to stewardship@whistler.ca. The migration is approaching and typically begins late July. For more info visit whistler.ca/toads.

Food trucks are in Lakeside Park, Lost Lake Park and Rainbow Park daily. Check out the schedule.

Fire danger rating and campfire ban

Whistler’s fire danger rating on Thursday, July 10, is HIGH. A campfire ban is in effect in Whistler until September 15, 2025. The ban applies to all levels of fire danger rating, including low and moderate.
