Blackcomb Way (west side along Olympic Plaza, across from Day Lot 4) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Canada Day. The area will be used as a parade staging zone. If you’re looking for the Lost Lake Shuttle or Route 32, you can catch both from Gondola Transit Exchange Post 4. When the road reopens at 1 p.m., the Lost Lake Shuttle will resume standard operations.
NOTIFICATIONS
Parking rates in Whistler’s Day Lots will increase on Tuesday, July 1
Parking rates help cover the costs of operating the Day Lots, fund transit and support our Big Moves climate action goals. Electric vehicle charging rates will also increase from Tuesday, July 1. The increase will fund the cost of hydro and the maintenance of the chargers.
Fire danger rating and campfire ban
Whistler’s fire danger rating on Thursday, June 26, is MODERATE. A campfire ban is in effect in Whistler until September 15, 2025. The ban applies to all levels of fire danger rating, including low and moderate.
When the fire danger rating is high or extreme, a Wildfire Exemption Permit is required for high-risk construction activity and tree services within 10 metres of forest (or treed areas). This applies at any time of day.
Click the link to view the daily fire danger rating. Whistler is listed as “Cheakamus”. To report a wildfire, immediately call 911 or 1 800 663-5555 toll-free or dial *5555 on a cell phone.
