Owner’s authorization of agent form

Owners are able to authorize an agent to act on their behalf for the purpose of applying and obtaining a permit with the building department.

Use this form if you wish to have an individual or a company to act on your behalf to apply for and obtain a Building Permit.

Typically this means you want your designer/architect/builder to:

  • drop off the application on your behalf and sign any applicable documents;
  • provide any information or documents required by the building department during the permit process; or
  • obtain (sign for and pick up) your building permit so construction can start.  

All Owner’s Authorization of Agent forms must accompany a new permit application being submitted in person to the Building Department or pertain to an active Building Permit and reference the active Building Permit number and be submitted in person or by email to the Building Department.
