Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Virginia Cullen and Director of Finance Carlee Price presented the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s (RMOW) 2022 Corporate Plan and 2021 Annual Report at the Regular Council meeting on June 21.

“The Corporate Plan and Annual Report are snapshots of the past and current year in terms of projects, priorities and accomplishments,” said CAO Cullen.  “These are important accountability tools that guide our work plan and priorities to ensure we are working towards our community goals.”

Required by the Province of B.C., the Annual Report presents the 2021 audited financial statements and states municipal goals and objectives for the coming year, while demonstrating the highlights from the progress that has been made toward the preceding year’s goals and objectives.

The Corporate Plan is the RMOW’s key strategic planning document, which articulates annual community priorities, corporate goals, corporate strategies, key deliverables and employee objectives—all of which are aligned with Whistler’s Vision and Official Community Plan (OCP), and the Five-Year Financial Plan. It is developed to reflect Council’s priorities, as well as the ongoing engagement between RMOW and the community throughout the year.

Council will consider the combined Corporate Plan and Annual Report at the July 5 Council Meeting. Copies are available online at whistler.ca/PlansAndReports and in person at the front counter of Municipal Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday at 4325 Blackcomb Way.

Submissions or questions related to the Corporate Plan and Annual Report received prior to noon on Monday, July 4 to corporate@whistler.ca will be shared with Council for their consideration at the July 5 session. Please address your correspondence to Mayor and Council. The public will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the Question and Answer period during the Council meeting July 5.
