EV Charging Stations

Overview

The RMOW was successful in securing funding from the CleanBC Communities Fund for the installation of several new EV charging stations in Whistler over the next 6 years. This project is in partnership with the District of Squamish, Village of Pemberton, Lil’wat Nation and Squamish Nation and will add to the 28 new EV charging stations in Whistler.

Funding for the installation of more EV chargers will help reduce emissions associated with travel to the Sea to the Sky in addition to helping the RMOW reach its official climate targets set out in the Official Community Plan (OCP).

Phase 1 consists of the install of Level 2 EV stations at Day Lot 4, Meadow Park and Bayly Park.  Phase 2, dependent on funds, consists of the install of a mix of Level 2 and 3 EV stations at Day Lot 3, Main Street and the Conference Centre Carpark.
