The RMOW has begun work to thin 11.8 hectares above the Taluswood neighbourhood.
Work began July 6 and will continue into the fall. Work is planned to occur Mondays through Saturdays from 6 a.m.- 4 p.m.
The following biking and hiking trails will be impacted:
- Northwest Passage - the crews will access the site along the Northwest Passage by crossing the lower Dave Murray Downhill run. They have coordinated access with Whistler Blackcomb staff and will do their best to cross outside of bike park hours but please be aware and use caution;
- Insomnia trail (part of Whistler Mountain Bike Park) intersects in several locations with the project’s access route and may experience closures.
