The Conservation Officer Service (COS) has received multiple reports of bears accessing 2nd and 3rd level patios of homes searching for food in Nordic Dr and Tantalus Dr.
Bears are excellent climbers with an even better sense of smell and willing to go to great lengths to access food.
Ensure that all BBQs are properly cleaned and stored and all attractants are managed correctly, even if they are not located on the ground floor.
