The Resort Municipality of Whistler is committed to help make Whistler a safe, desirable and welcoming place to visit and live. Diversity and inclusion are celebrated by the Whistler community in a variety of ways.

Whistler has supported the Whistler Pride Ski Festival programming for over 25 years, proclaiming a week in January each year as Pride Week: A Celebration of Diversity and Inclusivity. The RMOW has also shown support through investing provincial tourism funding to expand programming for the event, flying the rainbow flag at Whistler Municipal Hall, placing banners in the Village and we assist with annual parade operations.

To further welcome the LGBTQ community, two rainbow crosswalks were installed by the RMOW on Main Street in September 2018.

A monthly program called Whistler Rainbow Connection is a great opportunity for LGBTQ+ individuals along with their friends, family, and allies–to foster friendships and build community while sharing some fun activities as well as resources, their ideas, successes, and challenges.
