2020 Community Life Survey
Now in its thirteenth year, the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s Community Life Tracking Survey is an important component of Whistler’s community monitoring program designed to:
- Support transparency and accountability in municipal operations
- Inform decision-making
- Facilitate the measurement of trends over time
The 2020 Community Life Survey kicks off on January 17, 2020 as a random phone survey first reaching 300 permanent and 200 part-time residents.
If you receive a call, please take 15 minutes to complete the survey. If you don't receive a call, you are encouraged to complete the online survey, which will be launched on February 3, 2020.
Survey results are important for tracking service performance for the RMOW’s Corporate Plan and measuring performance towards community priorities. Survey results help Council and staff understand community priorities, trends and concerns, as well as feedback and insights regarding municipal plans and services.
The 2020 survey is being conducted by Forum Research Inc., a Canadian market and consumer research firm. The RMOW is committed to evidence-based, transparent governance, and the Community Life Survey is a key contribution to the corporate planning process.
Survey results will be shared in late spring 2020.
Note: There were no surveys in 2011 or 2016. A survey was conducted at the end of 2010 as part of the 2011 budget process: The fall 2016 survey was delayed to provide an opportunity to include seasonal workers' feedback in winter 2017.
