On November 2, 2021, Council announced the appointments to the Whistler Public Library Boards starting January 1, 2022.
- Josie Chuback, Jeff Murl, Thomas Sikora, Mike Walsh and Bevin Heath Ansley, re-appointed for a 2 years term,
- Gail Banning and Cathy Abell, both appointed for a 1 year term,
- Councilor Ralph Forsyth, re-appointed for a 1 year term.
Board guidelines
- The Board consists of an uneven number of members, no fewer than five (5) or more than thirteen (13). The Board, starting January 1, 2022, will count eleven (11) members. Ten (10) are appointed from the Community and one (1) member from the RMOW Council.
- The Board selects a Chair and Vice Chair at its first meeting in each year.
- The Board must meet at regular intervals at least six (6) times a year.
- Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, except August, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., currently virtually until further notice.
Eligibility requirements
- Must be a resident or an elector of the Resort Municipality of Whistler.
- Must not be a Resort Municipality of Whistler employee.
- Must not be a Whistler Public Library Employee.
