Junior Firefighter Program

Friday May 3 to Sunday May 5, 2024

Our Junior Firefighter Program provides an introduction to the physical, mental, and educational requirements needed to succeed in a career in the Fire Service. Our three-day course gives students hands-on experience as we take them through many aspects of our recruit training programs.

Students must be in Grades 11 or 12 to apply.

Please email completed JFFP applications to fire@whistler.ca or drop off to Municipal Hall no later than February 29, 2024.

Paid on Call FireFighters

The Whistler Fire Rescue Service is currently not accepting applications for Paid On-Call Firefighters.

Candidates considering a career in the Fire Service should also check out courses offered through the Justice Institute of BC, Fire and Safety Division.
