Junior Firefighter Program
Friday May 3 to Sunday May 5, 2024
Our Junior Firefighter Program provides an introduction to the physical, mental, and educational requirements needed to succeed in a career in the Fire Service. Our three-day course gives students hands-on experience as we take them through many aspects of our recruit training programs.
Students must be in Grades 11 or 12 to apply.
Please email completed JFFP applications to fire@whistler.ca or drop off to Municipal Hall no later than March 31, 2024.
Junior Firefighter Application Package
Paid On Call Firefighters
Starting Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Whistler Fire Rescue Service will be accepting applications for Paid On Call (POC) Firefighters. Submit your application package via the RMOW online portal by Tuesday, April 23, 2024. For more details, please see POC Applicant Information.
Candidates considering a career in the Fire Service should also check out courses offered through the Justice Institute of BC, Fire and Safety Division.
